Looking for a Meditation Opportunity?

By now, you’re undoubtedly aware of the many benefits of meditation. The website, healthline, for example, lists “12 Science-Based Benefits of Meditation.” But where to begin? Recently a number of my clients have spoken positively about their meditation approaches and apps, so I thought I’d share them with the hope you might adopt one and enjoy some of  healthline’s 12 possible outcomes of meditation.

1 Reduces stress. 2 Controls anxiety. 3 Promotes emotional health. 4 Enhances self-awareness.

5 Lengthens attention span. 6 May reduce age-related memory loss. 7 Can generate kindness.

8 May help fight addictions. 9 Improves sleep. 10 Helps control pain.

11 Can decrease blood pressure. 12 Accessible anywhere.

And, who doesn’t want some of that?  

One client’s favorites are on YouTube. The first is called, “Becoming a New You.” This 10 minute meditation is a helpful approach for letting go of old, outmoded ways. You can find it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lhtAj91Lpgw

Another of her favorites, also on YouTube, focuses on how to find a fresh start without changing your outer world—especially useful in this time of CoVid.

Another client likes “Stop, Breathe, Think” because it provides a short survey before you begin, so your meditation can be personalized to how you are feeling. Information about this app can be found here. https://my.life/

Finally, I want to share my meditation app, Calm, because I like the voice of the narrator and the choice of a particular background photo and sound for your meditation.
